FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Still not sure?

How much does it cost to get started?

Nothing. Installation, hardware, and ongoing support are 100% free for approved venues. We only make money when your customers rent chargers — and you get a cut.

How much money can I make?

Most venues earn between £50–£250/month per station depending on foot traffic. Just a few rentals a day adds up — and it’s completely passive.

What do I need to provide?

Just a plug socket and a small flat surface (like a counter or shelf). That’s it.

What if the station breaks or gets damaged?

We’ll replace or repair it at no cost to you. Everything is fully managed and monitored remotely.

Do I have to train my staff to use it?

Nope. Customers scan, pay, and grab a charger themselves. Your staff won’t need to get involved.

How do I get paid?

We send you a monthly payout with a summary of usage and earnings — straight to your bank.

Is there a contract or long-term commitment?

No contracts. No lock-ins. If it’s not a fit, we’ll pick it up — no hard feelings.

Why is this free if the unit is worth £1000?

We believe great placement = mutual value. Instead of selling the unit, we share profits with the venue. You bring the space and foot traffic; we do the rest.

How big is the station?

Roughly the size of a small speaker — about the footprint of a shoebox. It holds 6–8 chargers and fits easily on most countertops or shelves.

Can customers return the charger to any station?

Right now, chargers are returned to the same station they were rented from. This keeps things simple and ensures chargers are always available at your venue.

What happens if a charger isn’t returned?

Customers are charged automatically after a time limit. You still get your share of the revenue — and we handle charger replacement if needed.

Is this safe for my customers to use?

Yes — all chargers meet UK safety standards and are frequently tested. Each unit includes surge protection and modern charging protocols for phones and devices.

What kinds of venues is this best for?

Redbar Rescue works best in places where people stay for 30+ minutes — like cafés, pubs, salons, gyms, co-working spaces, waiting rooms, or event venues.
